Expressionists

Expressionists classes are focused on fostering creativity and encouraging each student to explore their expressive potential.

Expressionist classes are split into ages 5-7 and 8-10 and each day of class is unique and structured. Creativity and imagination are fostered in children’s art classes. Students are introduced to a wide variety of media and techniques. They are taught the proper use, application and care of artist’s materials. Drawing, painting, collage, printmaking and sculpture are among the media used. Emphasis is placed on process over product, as each student begins to develop his/her personal, unique artistic style.

  • Emphasis is on individual expression
  • Experimental, guided approach to teaching art
  • Exposure to art’s invaluable place in history
